Know Your Core!!

 Know Your Core is all about knowing your inner self and strengthening the same. It should not come as a surprise when we claim to know ourselves. In her book about introversion, Susan Cain talks about a shift that was brought about in the early nineteenth century as industrialization became rampant in America. With Industrialization, a young boy named Dale Carnegie saw an opportunity to redefine people as they see themselves. 

She mentions in her book the shift from a culture of character, to a culture of personality, i.e. to mean we moved from inward to the outward view of ourselves. With the advance in technology and the easy access to the world at our fingertips, this took another turn.

From a set of a few immediate circles validating us, our need increased to the entire world. There was a positive impact as well. We started caring about how others thought of us.

Now we have what they call influencers, social influencers, in short people who can create the most fan following. 

What is a fan following- People who resonate with the message being delivered by the person- at least partially, but it is more about charisma. It is more about the sender per se than the message. - Right?

Yes but what part. The part which is convinced about delivering the message and the part which is aligned with it. One cannot convey the message without fully believing in its delivery. Fake it till you make it sound good but to know the direction that you want to make it in, one needs to really believe. 

Know your Core is about knowing strengthening that part of being which drives us and before that finding it. n

Once we are familiar with our drivers we can figure out ways and means to control our triggers and be inwardly motivated or go back to building a strong culture of character before becoming the culture of influencers.

Performance Management- the performance, the performer and the audience/ spectator. When we visualize a performance we see an act in action. The act is different from actor and that is what  performance management is all about. In our day to day usage from an absolute management perspective we often confuse between the act and the actor and more often that not, we work towards refining the act and some where in the process loose the actor.
