Wishing you all a very Happy new year but then whats sooo happy about this new year... oops am i being cynicall.. hope not...well.. for me it was just another day... no late night parties, no morning hangover, no special outing, nothing in particular to make it SOOOOO Happy. But despite that, something did make my new year happy.. the stream of happy new years messages, mails, phone calls, my sister's 'gajar ka halwa' that she had made for my kids and i pretty much ate the entire thing... the excitement of beginning something new, even the prediction on TV Channels from Some babaji's analysing how this new year was going to be for all rashi and the prediction.. all of it together did it make it an exciting and happy new year for me.. I did not make any resolutions this year. But I am sure I will make something up like may be loose my weight, when people ask me whats my resolution for the new year has been - its gonna be more for them and less for me i guess. Ha...

When I got a mail for inviting write ups for the guest column in HR Daily Advisor, I was sure I want to send something. It had to be on HR was not a big deal cause I though that I have written before and some of my articles have also been published so what’s the big deal. But well life is not always the way we plan. If life were so easy then we would all be exhausted by now. I have often observed that what is easy is never either appreciated or achieved. As human beings we also look for some adventure, some different, some......thing. We often tell ourselves, this is tooooo good to be true. This is too easy. And in the attempt we forget what actually matters. Just to do it. Easy or tough it is what it is.. Why bother with complicated solutions when the answer sometimes is bang in front of our faces... but then we dont want that answer. We are looking for a solution. A solution that perfect...Why do we even try to be simple. Easy, simple these are for those who dont know what it takes to be successful. To be succesful one has to know all complicated stuff.. the solutions have got to be difficult otherwise its not worth the effort.
